Who each one is for
Gulooloo’s app has been renamed on the App Store: the id we track now shows “QR Code Generator - QRHyper”, with the description still opening “QR Code Generator & QR Creator”. It is a template-led static generator with a built-in scanner, 17,491 ratings and a 4.8 average. It updated on 5 September 2026 and runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision.
It suits someone who wants a decorated static code quickly and would rather pay once than subscribe. QR Studio suits the same person when the code has to go to print, be edited later, or be designed with help.
Where QR Studio is better
- AI design partner. Gulooloo has templates; QR Studio has templates plus a conversational designer that checks every variant scans.
- Vector export. SVG and print-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks. Gulooloo exports PNG, JPEG and WebP only, up to 2400 x 2400.
- Dynamic codes and analytics. Not offered in the iOS listing.
- Free tier. QR Studio’s free tier has no ads and no cap on static codes. Gulooloo’s privacy label says usage data is collected for “third-party advertising”. Our research file also records a 10-code free cap; the listing text does not state it, so treat that figure as unverified today.
- Cloud sync. QR Studio codes follow your Apple ID. Gulooloo’s listing describes a per-device library.
- Custom dot and eye geometry. Both offer eye and pattern choices; QR Studio’s are rendered live so a logo, a colour and a shape can be tuned together.
Where QR Code Generator, QR Template is better
- Price. Lifetime PRO at $41.99 or $59.99 undercuts QR Studio Lifetime at $69.99.
- Templates. A large, regularly updated set.
- Picture-as-fill. Our research notes an option to colour the modules with an image. It is not in today’s listing text, so we list it with that caveat.
- Error correction picker. 7%, 15%, 25% and 30% exposed as a setting.
- Rating volume. 17,491 ratings against a brand-new QR Studio.

Switching
Everything Gulooloo makes is static, so nothing breaks. Decode each code, paste the payload into QR Studio, pick a design and export SVG or PDF for anything headed to print. Wi-Fi and vCard codes carry their full content, so they rebuild without retyping.
